Dear Jesus,
Just as it is hard for a very athletic person to sit on the sideline and watch his team do mediocre sports, it must be hard for you, the perfect human being, to watch us mere mortals struggle to let our light shine. But I hear your voice from heaven cheering me on to let the love and truth that you put in my heart get out into the lives of those around me. So protect me Lord Jesus from false humility that would keep me silent and hidden away. Help me to live so demonstratively that my life makes other people think about you and their relationship with you. And let the light that I exude be centralized around grace and not man-made righteousness.
