For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:3‬ ‭

Dear Jesus,

Few burdens are as heavy to carry as self awareness. It’s painful to be honest about strengths, weaknesses, quirks, and idiosyncrasies. So, most of us walk around with an unrealistic inflated view of ourselves.  But you see me as I really am and you want me to be real with myself. Then I’ll be the best person for others.  Keep me honest and humble, Lord Jesus. Don’t let me minimize or maximize my opinion, talents, strengths and weaknesses so that I make mistakes with people.  Just help me be a hard working, loving me.

Amen

Self awareness begins with honest openness towards God’s word and will for our lives.
