On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

‭‭Matthew ‭2:10-11

Dear Heavenly Father,

What was in the minds of the wise men that made them separate from their treasures to give them to your baby Son. How much did they know about his upcoming life? What did they think it all meant for them as they shared gifts and went on their way? I have to think that we who see his whole story, know so much more than them. Your Son lived and died for me. He forgave me and saved me. I will gladly separate from my treasurers to show thanks to him for redeeming me and my family. My destiny is secure because you gave him to us. My Christmas is safe too. Nothing can ruin it. It’s all about this greatest gift for us.

Amen

Christmas is about the greatest gift given to every human being. No one can steal that joy but unbelief.
