1 Timothy 1:16-17

But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen. – 1 Timothy 1:16-17

Dear Jesus,

I am so happy that you showed great mercy to the Apostle Paul, stinker that he was. Because you did not strike him dead for the persecution he launched on your people, I believe you will be merciful to me and all my family who have let you down. In spite of the fact that I have sinned grievously against you in my life, by grace I believe you will let me squeeze past the doorway into heaven. So, I have hope to face the day with confidence that you are with me, will hear my prayers and guide my day. With grace empowered hope strengthen me to be an encouragement and positive influence on some other soul today.

Amen

Pastor Donald Patterson

The big question each day is not how good you have been, but whether you believe in the goodness and grace of God.
