1 Peter 1:13-16

Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” – 1 Peter 1:13-16

Dear Jesus,

I look forward to the day that I see your face and you do not mention one of my sins or weaknesses.  I long for the day when I see your face and you only have glad and happy thoughts to share.  I long for that day when every problem is resolved, every story is complete and everything that perplexes me now will make sense.  Because I am an heir of eternal life I want to live a life worthy of the gift.  Give me discernment to sift out worldly ideas and passions from my thinking.  I want to make you and your love look good by being fair and loving to everyone I meet.  Make me a lovingly, holy person who blesses and encourages others to find you and your salvation by the way I live.
