John 15:1-4

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. – John 15:1-4

Dear Jesus,

Your grace and forgiveness are the word that has made me clean. Now that you have cleaned me, you prune any unsightly growth my sinful nature might produce.  It hurts when you prune me but it always make me better and my fruit sweeter. Help me to remain in your life giving word so I keep producing good fruit in your name for others to taste.  Keep my soul safe in faith and make my life powerful in grace to change the lives of many people.

Amen
