Psalm 127:3-5

Children are a heritage from the Lord,
    offspring a reward from him.
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are children born in one’s youth.
Blessed is the man
whose quiver is full of them.
They will not be put to shame
when they contend with their opponents in court. – Psalm 127:3-5

Dear heavenly Father,

Children take so much work and energy from us that it’s easy to see them as a liability and not an asset.  But you clearly say that they are a blessing.  Help me to become part of your press writers who praise the virtues of children and how they grow up to bless parents. Thank you for the ways you have made my own children be strength in my life emotionally, financially and spiritually.  Encourage parents everywhere that every ounce of effort they expend to rear children will pay dividends in their life and heart beyond measure.  Give them the faith to see the legacy they are leaving for you, themselves and others on the earth.

AMEN

Raising godly children is like moving from addition to multiplication.  It exponential-lizes the effect of our lives on this planet.
