Love is not easily angered. - 1 Corinthians 13:4-5

Dear Jesus,

What pithy and powerful words! And how true it is. When I'm actively loving someone I'm not so easily angered by them. Instead, I'm patient and transparent and helpful. So, Lord Jesus, since I'm easily angered by some folks, I cannot blame them. It must be me. Somewhere along the way I have chosen not to love them. Instead I'm conditional with them. They haven't met my requirements and so I chose to treat them differently than others. Oh, Jesus, I repent. What favoritism I have in my heart! Come in by your Holy Spirit and drive that Pharisee-ism far from me. I do not want to be easily angered by anyone. Give me the power to love all people, even those with quills.
