John 15:16

John 15_16 (1).png

You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit that will last, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. - John 15:16

Dear Jesus,

I love those words "fruit that will last." So often I feel sad that life is short and everyone is forgotten after they die. I don't know if it's my own mind or the devil and his demons but I get stuck on the question, "What's the point?" But when you chose me to be filled with your love you enabled me to produce the fruit of a loving life that does good deeds for others. That fruit will last in their lives and then cascade from them to others as they pass along the love deeds you sent their way through me. The fruit of a loving life, lasts long after it's gone and grows bigger over time as people who are loved learn to love others too. We gotta be loved first in order to love others well. Oh Jesus, thank you for choosing me to make my life count by by making me one of your dearly loved children who learns to love others.

Amen

Our lives matter not when our names are written in lights but when our love is written into lives.
