Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. – Philippians 4:8-9

Dear Jesus,

Thank you for giving me permission to take a vacation from dwelling on the negative things that affect my life.  Open the eyes of my heart to ascertain the great value of so many blessings you bring my way every day.  Help me to lose track of time being amazed by the good with which you bless me.  Help me see the good in my friends, family, coworkers, and even my enemies.  Make me crave purity and godly beauty.  Make me noble and not petty or captivated by puny selfishness.  Oh Jesus, give me the peace that comes from a heart that knows it’s safe in the good news of acceptance into your blessed family.
