Philippians 1:12-14

Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel. As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ. And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have become confident in the Lord and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear. - Philippians 1:12-14

Dear Jesus,

I want to be like Paul always looking on the bright side of every dark cloud. For him, everything revolved around whether or not you and your salvation were well known.  He could even see how his difficult circumstances advanced your gospel.  I want that gospel centrality. You are always working in our lives through every circumstance.  You bless and bless us.  Give me the faith by your Holy Spirit to show the joy and optimism that come from being a redeemed sinner who has that same gift to offer every person they meet.

Amen

Pastor Don Patterson
