Proverbs 22:11

One who loves a pure heart and who speaks with grace
    will have the king for a friend. – Proverbs 22:11

Dear Lord,

You are holy and have never thought an evil morsel in any moment of your eternal existence.  I, on the other hand, cannot think of a moment in my life that some selfish or evil thought was not lurking in my heart next to the virtues you have taught me.  Your grace has invaded my soul and so I forgive myself along with you when I notice my heart drifting.  Please keep purifying my heart with love and truth so my thoughts will be pleasing to both of us.  And Lord, help me speak with grace to anyone and everyone regardless of their station, stature or posture toward me.  Make me a constant testimony of the purity that springs from grace.
