Romans 12:11-12

Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer.  – Romans 12:11-12

Dear Jesus,
Even if I were to feel that I had good reason to lose my zeal for the callings you have given me, that would not mean that I would quit any of them.  I don’t care about the reasons I should quit, only the reasons I should strive harder and serve better.  When the hope of spending heaven with you shines from the distant horizon of the few short years I have left, I get excited to make the most out of the remaining moments.  Because then, in heaven, we’ll have that much more to laugh and rejoice over.
