Romans 12:2

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will. – Romans 12:2

Dear Jesus,

Don’t let me fall into worldly patterns of thinking about anything big or small.  Renew my mind to make me think your thoughts after you.  Help me to know what your will is in difficult relationships.  Give me the courage to be gently and firmly different than the people with whom I work who are stuck in the world’s ever flowing river of selfishness.  Make me light and salt.  Give me the unique ability to make a difference in their lives by the way I live mine.  Use me to encourage my church family to more ardently sacrifice themselves for each other and you.
