Ruth 4:13-15
So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife. When he made love to her, the Lord enabled her to conceive, and she gave birth to a son. The women said to Naomi: “Praise be to the Lord, who this day has not left you without a guardian-redeemer. May he become famous throughout Israel! He will renew your life and sustain you in your old age. For your daughter-in-law, who loves you and who is better to you than seven sons, has given him birth.” - Ruth 4:13-15
Dear Heavenly Father,
You turned a very bleak situation for Naomi into a blessing that is still read and appreciated today. You are the God who saves! This part of the story of Ruth reminds me of Easter when your Son rose from the grave. In Ruth and Naomi's lives, you brought life from what looked like a dead end. Through Ruth, you gave to Naomi what she thought she would never receive. Her family name and property was preserved and her place in history was riveted in print forever. Dear Lord, I hereby trust you with my story, too. I know you will make the greatest good come out of every situation no matter how bleak or difficult. Help me to tie the knot of faith in the end of my rope when I come to it.
