Matthew 5:8

Matthew 5-8.jpg

Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God. – Matthew 5:8

Dear Jesus,

When I’m having a bad day it’s usually because I have a bad perspective on everything happening to me.  If I would see you behind every disappointment and remember your promises to work it out for my good I would be slower to judge my situation as bad.  I want that pure heart that’s cleansed by grace so that I have a faith filled optimism about what’s going down.  I want to see you and your saving work behind every difficulty and every hurt. Jesus, purify my heart with your love and make me a reflection of how you lived here, seeing your Father in every moment.

AMEN
