2 Corinthians 1:10b-11
On God we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, 11 as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many. - 2 Corinthians 1:10b-11
Dear Jesus,
It blows my mind that you would say that any of us help anyone else through our prayers to you. I don't understand how or why you would wait for our prayers to help anyone. But to some extent you do, because your word says it right here in bold print. I accept this mystery just as I do the mystery of the Trinity itself. I will pray for my family and friends specifically and boldy expecting you to act more on their behalf because of my prayers. Thank you for giving me such an awestruck role in your divine activities. Prompt me by your Holy Spirit to pray well and often for your people so all of them are helped by my cooperation with you. Thank you that you also promise to pray to yourself for me by prompting your Holy Spirit to utter prayers I cannot.
Amen
