Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. - Philippians 4:8-9

Dear Jesus,

What great permission your Apostle gives us to take a vacation from dwelling on the negative even if it's a reality. Paul certainly could have been down in the dumps after all he had been through on top of what he was enduring at the moment. But he didn't dwell on the negatives. So, he leads us to follow his example and learn the secret of contentment, that is; finding the positives and celebrating them even in the most negative situation. Give me this spiritual positive mental attitude. I want to live in the blessings of every moment you grant me. Help me to model this kind of spiritual optimism to my family and friends too.
