2 Peter 3:8-9

But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. - 2 Peter 3:8-9

Dear Heavenly Father,

Now I understand why you told us that a day is like a thousand years to you.  it's because you don't keep track of our sins.  It's because you live in the moment constantly focusing on each of us humans in love, and waiting for one more to come back to you.  You are keeping score so the wait doesn't seem so long to you.   Teach me to live in the moment of grace like you do, so I don't carry the burden of remembering the failures of others nor do I make them carry them either.  Help me to live in the peace of not keeping track.

Amen
