Matthew 26:26-28

Matthew 26_26-28.png

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.”  27 Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. - Matthew 26:26-28

Dear Jesus,

You held up the cup that night and said, "This is my blood of the New Covenant." I'm so glad you and the Father made a new covenant of forgiveness rather than keeping me under the old law covenant. Now, my relationship with you is safe from me.  I can't fail my way out of this covenant. It's all based on your unconditional grace. I'm safe with you.  So are my loved ones.  Your Lord's Supper is the constant reminder that I'm a member of your grace family.  Thank you for such a simple profound gift.  I can't wait until COVID 19 is over and I can safely commune with my loved ones.

Amen
