Proverbs 15:28

The heart of the righteous weighs its answers,
but the mouth of the wicked gushes evil. - Proverbs 15:28

Dear Lord,

I know how a reckless word from someone else can hurt.  Sometimes it lingers in my heart like a bad smell on a humid, still day.  I don't want to to be that person who stinks up everyone around him.  So, give me the wisdom to put a bit in my mouth and make every word filter through the Scriptures so I can discern if it is worth saying or not.   Help me to be genuine in my encouragements and friendly in all my exchanges.  Make my mouth a blessing and not a curse.

Amen

Pastor Don Patterson

Words that bless are like a stream of cool water on a hot and dry day.
