The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.

Dear Heavenly Father,
You never planned to leave us to our own devices. You laid out very clearly what was right and wrong about property, sexuality, reputation, covetousness, envy, trust and many other virtues. Your words on these matters are a firm foundation under my life. They save me oodles of time and energy too. I can trust your moral will for all people. However, even though I know your law, I break it. So, I still desperately need more than your law. I need your grace and mercy too. Thank you for both. With law and gospel my spiritual needs are met. I’m ready to live them both today.
