1 Peter 1:22

Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart.  - 1 Peter 1:22  

Dear Lord,

Valentines Day can be such drag. It can make us have high expectations that provide huge playing field for disappointment if our significant other doesn't meet them.  Give me that better love, called Agape, that makes me serve my closest kin and my marital lover with grace and commitment.  Give me a desire to make her happy that goes beyond my self made requirements for her performance as a romantic partner. Help me meet her needs. forgive her failings and make her encouragement my top priority.  In short, help me make her glad she is sharing this corner of your world with me.
