Matthew 6:33-34

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. - Matthew 6:33-34

Dear Jesus,

I love how you teach us that although you created us to work hard and accomplish great things, you never intended for us to shoulder the worry of our future. Instead, we were designed to pursue a relationship with you through your grace and to teach others how to find you in grace as well. Your gift of righteousness changes our identity and destiny. So, whatever tomorrow holds, it cannot overwhelm what is true about our survival. We will live forever here and then there with you. Help me to dump worry about my future with today's trash and to pursue a peaceful walk with you in my little corner of your big world.

Amen

Pastor Don Patterson

We were made to pursue the God who pursued us. No other pursuit comes close to this one single purpose.
