Proverbs 14:34

Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people. - Proverbs 14:34

Dear Heavenly Father,

I believe you are the God of all nations and like a father with several children you love each and every nation you have created. That's why you discipline whole nations and bless every one of them with their own strengths, weaknesses and prosperity. I know you see the sins in our land and grieve over them. You have blessed our U.S.A. with unbroken prosperity and have endured our failings through good times and bad. You have made us a leader in the world for freedom, fairness and justice. You have used our nation to catapult your gospel into all the world by sending missionaries from our affluent land to impoverished nations to give them your grace and mercy through your son. You have used our country to protect lives and topple tyrants through our military strength. On this great day of remembering our origins, we rise up to thank you for giving special blessings to and through our country. Thank you for the brave who gave their lives so we could be the free. It's a privilege to pray to you as our one nation under God!

Amen
