1 Timothy 5:1-3

Do not rebuke an older man harshly but exhort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers, older women as mothers and younger women as sisters in absolute purity.

Dear Jesus,

I love how you lead me to treat people. You have given me many older men as friends and mentors. They have looked into my soul and told me things about myself that I could not have understood without them. Help me to give them the love and respect I gave my own father. Cause me to be loyal to men more my age like a brother. Give me  tenderness toward older women I would give my own mother. Make me pure around women my own age and those younger than me so that they feel safe and encouraged. I want all people to feel the family connection your Spirit creates. When I'm not getting it right get my attention and bump me back in line. I want to treat people like family just as you intend.
