1 Timothy 2:8

Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing. – 1 Timothy 2:8

Dear Jesus,

So often when things don’t go my way, I fall headlong into anger and resort to scheming in order to cope.  But you call me to prayer at such times.  You tell me to get rid of stress and frustration by dumping my concerns at your feet in prayer.  So, here they are.  In work and family I have several recurring anxiety themes and I need to let go.  I look forward to see how you are going to work things out in ways I could never have imagined.  You have promised to run our lives.  So, I am banking on it.

Amen

God doesn’t need us to worry about things that he already has planned from here to eternity.
