Philippians 4:1-3

Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, dear friends!

I plead with Euodia and I plead with Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord. Yes, and I ask you, my true companion, help these women since they have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my co-workers, whose names are in the book of life. - Philippians 4:1-3

Dear Jesus,

I know that you want all of your children to get along and exude love for one another.  It's easy for me when others are gentle and kind.  But when they don't listen or poke me with their porcupine needles, I quickly want to get along without them rather than just get along.  Oh Father, help me to be of the same "I love you" mind with those that are like sand paper in my family and church.  Make me ignore their habitual sins to love their soul as much as I love mine.  This is not natural to me, but I know it is for you.  You even loved Peter and Judas who both committed friendship ending sins against you. Please make me like you forgiving and accepting those who have been close enough to hurt me.

Pastor Don Patterson

Being of the same mind as Christians means same love and grace not same opinion on everything.
