James 5:7-9

Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near. Don’t grumble against one another, brothers and sisters, or you will be judged. The Judge is standing at the door! – James 5:7-9

Dear Jesus,

When my challenges overwhelm me it’s all too easy to grumble against those I love as if they had something to do with my inner conflict.  When I grumble against them, nothing turns out well.   I will wait patiently for you like a farmer waits for rain.  You are coming to rescue me and all believers.  Our suffering won’t last forever.  When you come for me, I am expecting ten thousand times the blessings you have given me here.  You are the God who loves to save us big!  Let this be my joy and peace today while I wait.

Amen
