Jonah 4:10-11

The LORD said to Jonah, “You have been concerned about this plant that I grew to shade you and then took it away, though you did not tend it or make it grow.  It sprang up overnight and died overnight.  And should I not have concern for the great city of Nineveh, in which there are more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right hand from their left-and also many animals. – Jonah 4:10-11

Dear Heavenly Father,

Don't let me be like Jonah who did not want you to show your grace to Nineveh.  There are people that have hurt me that I don't really want to pray for.  I just want them to meet justice.  But you are the God who loves to forgive and restore more than punish and destroy.  You even care for animals with grace.  Give me your gracious heart for the people around me so I rejoice when you are patient with them and I forgive them along with you.

Amen

It's much easier to forgive someone sitting on the shoulders of Jesus rather than the back of accusations.
