Ephesians 1:4-8
For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, - Ephesians 1:4-8
Dear heavenly Father,
I would swell with pride if my child were chosen to start in a high school varsity game. I would be overcome with joy if my grandchild were chosen for the dean's list in college. I would be tempted to display it on Facebook if my child were chosen to attend a prestigious university. I would feel successful if my son were chosen for a promotion. Then, how much more should I feel doubly blessed that from eternity you chose my family and me to know the good news about your Son and the total forgiveness he has won for me? Thank you, thank you, thank you, for graciously choosing to drive your grace into my life in my little corner of your vast universe. Teach me today how to look at myself as someone richly blessed and eternally wealthy instead of poor and needy.
AMEN

How one looks at oneself will be the lens through which they measures their entire experience called life. Put your "God glasses" on before you leave your home today.
