Ruth 2:17-18

Ruth 2_17-18.jpg

So Ruth gleaned in the field until evening. Then she threshed the barley she had gathered and it amounted to about an ephah. She carried it back to town and her mother in law saw how much she had gathered. Ruth also brought what she had left over after she had eaten enough.  Ruth 2:17-18

Dear Lord,

You blessed Ruth to glean in Boaz's field where he made sure she had grain. But she also was faithful and generous with the blessing. She diligently gleaned all day until late evening. I see that blessing is not just what is handed to me. Blessing is also benevolent opportunity to apply my industry and to work hard for others. I love seeing how Ruth provided freely for her mother in law from her own hard work. Help me freely give away blessings from the hard work you afford me. I want to be a blessing factory like you.

Amen
