Matthew 5:1

Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, and he began to teach them.– Matthew 5:1

Dear Jesus,

When you saw crowds you saw hearts that needed your word.  I hate to admit it, but when I see crowds my first thought is, “I hate crowds.  Those people stress me out.” I like what you see better than what I see.  Give me your shepherd’s heart that owns the welfare of everyone else.  Give me a passion for instructing people in the peace of your mercy and truth.  Help me to seize teachable moments and to leave behind the teachings you have shared with all of us.  And teach my heart also so I can live in peace, with meaning and purpose.

AMEN

As long as we share this planet with anyone else, Jesus wants us to share him with them.
